The Shared Journey

At Kiddylinguistics, we know that children thrive best when we all work together. That’s why we love partnering with parents to share in each child’s learning journey. By welcoming you into what’s happening at preschool — and listening to what’s happening at home — we can create a caring, supportive environment where every child can shine Here, you can find out how we identify and support your child’s individual needs, explore our curriculum, read our weekly newsletter, and pick up some fun ideas to keep learning going at home.
We’re so glad to have you as part of the Kiddylinguistics family — and we hope you enjoy being part of your child’s amazing learning adventure!

Parents chats

Once your child has had time to settle into preschool, their key person will put together a development overview. We’ll chat about this during our first parent meeting, giving us the chance to talk through how your child is getting on. Together, we can celebrate their progress, spot any areas where they might need a little extra support, and share our plans for the next steps in their learning journey.

Tapestry

Tapestry is our secure online learning journal that we use to capture your child’s development through photos, observations, and comments. It’s a wonderful way for us to share your child’s learning journey with you and for you to add your own special moments from home too!

Using Tapestry, we can track your child’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, helping us work together to support their growth and celebrate every milestone along the way.

Wellcomm

Picture
WellComm is a speech and language toolkit designed for children aged 2 to 6 years old. It helps us identify any areas where a child’s communication skills might need a little extra support. Once your child has settled in, we carry out the assessment in both English and your child’s home language to get a full picture of their abilities.

If the assessment shows that your child could benefit from some extra help, we use the Big Book of Ideas — a fantastic resource filled with fun, targeted activities that parents and practitioners can use together to help your child make rapid progress with their speech and language.

News letters

We send out a weekly newsletter to keep you up to date with all the fun and learning happening at preschool. It’s a great way to see what the children have been exploring each week and to stay connected with everything going on.

Our parents always tell us how much they enjoy the newsletter — it’s a lovely way to share in your child’s preschool adventures!
